About the event

Denis Battais and Brigitte Hool will welcome you to talk about SAMKHYA.

This text is only a few lines, and yet it contains complete knowledge, which shines on YOGA.

The SAMKHYA is this famous text which is unanimously accepted in Indian thought. Understanding SAMKHYA is fundamental, for example, to understanding AYURVEDA. But also all the thought that underlies the understanding of the creation of the world, of physics, of relationships. SAMKHYA also deals with all emotional life, with all the way we approach perception, with all the mental turmoil that we can experience. And again, the SAMKHYA designates the errors that we can commit, and the ignorance that can blind us.

YOGA and SAMKHYA form a couple, described in traditional texts. Even KRISHNA speaks of it in the sublime text of the BHAGAVAD GITA.

Nowadays, many people practice YOGA, and it is good to remember these fundamentals that surround this practice, to support us in our spiritual path.

The SAMKHYA is universal. It is for everyone.

On the illustration above, we see the wise KAPILA who transmitted the SAMKHYA, and teaches it to his mother.

There is in this transmission all the sweetness of this loving relationship.

We will reflect in one day on what this knowledge can bring us in our daily lives; and we will take the time to do concentrations in a calm practice, which do not require prerequisites in terms of yoga, and allow us to integrate the sacred dimension of which Indian philosophy speaks.

Open to anyone interested. You can offer this seminar to family members or acquaintances who do not practice yoga but are interested in the subject.

There will be no practice requiring a particular physical condition, people who do not practice yoga are therefore also welcome.

The day will be divided between Denis Battais and Brigitte Hool.
